What is Learnership?
A learnership is a work based learning programme that leads to a National Qualification Framework (NQF) registered qualification. Learnerships are directly related to an occupation or field of work. Learnerships are managed by Sector Education and Training Authorities (SETAs).
Chemical Operations (LEVEL 1 – LEVEL 4)
Chemical Operators assist other members of the production team by cleaning, preparing, repairing, and monitoring the heavy machines used to mix and process chemicals.

Automated Packaging (LEVEL 3)
Automated Packaging operations can be designed for variable package sizes and forms or for handling only uniform packages, where the machinery or packaging line is adjustable between production runs.

Supply Chain
The qualifying learner will to access opportunities for further development and training in the specialised areas of Wholesale and Retail such as:
- Operations
- Customer service
- Visual display merchandising
- Help desk operations
Production technology
The combination of learning outcomes that comprise this qualification will provide the qualifying learner with vocational knowledge and skills appropriate to the context of production technology.
- Communicate production and manufacturing related operational information to a variety of end users
- Optimise organisational structures, functions and processes in order to contribute to achieving production specifications
New Venture Creation
Learner and Assessor will jointly decide on methods to determine prior learning and competence in the knowledge, skills, values and attitudes implicit in the Qualification and the associated Unit Standards.
- Accelerated access to further learning at this or higher levels on the NQF
- Gaining of credits for Unit Standards in this Qualification
- Obtaining this Qualification in whole or in part.
